Philip Goldberg, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C

It started with Legos and Erector sets. By the time he completed a specialized elementary school program on the topic, Philip already knew he would become an architect. At age thirteen, he was building multi-level treehouses, and in high school, he excelled in drafting courses and advanced art with an architectural focus. But his lifelong plan finally came to fruition when he attended architecture school Tulane University, where he ultimately graduated cum laude with a Master of Architecture degree in 2009 and achieved his Louisiana License just a few years later in 2013.

Philip practically developed his talents further while working in both construction and architecture around New Orleans before coming to AQ Studios. With over 15 years of experience, he’s earned expertise in a variety of project types including commercial, residential, educational, and religious work, and he now specializes in multifamily residential and healthcare design. His passion is rooted in creating meaningful environments in which people of all backgrounds and abilities can thrive (live, work, play) – and this is evident in his thoughtful designs.

Originally from Columbia, S.C., Philip thoroughly enjoys life in the Big Easy with his wife (Maple), twin toddler daughters (Bluma and Violet), dog (Socrates), and cat (Eli). When he’s not working, he stretches his creative muscles through music, art, and photography; and to offset his life of built environment, loves to spend time in nature – hiking all around the country with his family, or just getting outside to play sports. Naturally, he also designs (and builds) on a smaller scale, meticulously renovating his own historic home.
