David Hebert, Associate AIA
Designer
David has contributed to a wide range of project types, including residential, civic and government facilities, higher ed, and K-12 educational buildings. A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, David earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture, completing his education in 2018. Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, David grew up in his family’s woodworking mill and knife-making shops, where he was exposed early to the craftsmanship of cabinetry assembly, the precision of metalwork, and the technical skill of hand drafting. This upbringing fostered a lasting appreciation for the relationship between design and making.
David is inspired by architecture’s ability to shape how people experience the world around them. He believes thoughtful design can positively influence not only the physical environment and public health, but also the psychological well-being of the people who inhabit those spaces. Approaching each project with curiosity and a strong problem-solving mindset, he enjoys translating ideas into meaningful places that serve communities.
After spending time in Louisiana’s Northshore region, David has returned to his hometown of Lafayette with the hope of contributing to the continued growth and improvement of the community that raised him while building a life with his partner. In his free time, David enjoys hiking, traveling, woodworking, and tinkering with technology.
