Danyia Johnston

With a strong ability to collaborate and bring fresh ideas, Danyia plays an essential role at AQ Studios, supporting all studios with a primary focus on the Community Studio. As an architectural intern, she helps bring projects to life while working alongside architects and designers. She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master of Architecture at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Danyia has contributed to a wide range of project types, including urban planning, education, healthcare, and community-focused work. She hopes to continue exploring diverse project types throughout her career. Currently part of the Community Studio, she continues to expand her expertise through collaboration, client engagement, and a deep passion for learning.

Danyia is known as the person who keeps the office young and fresh with her quirky slang and playful energy, bringing a sense of silliness and fun to the team. She’s also affectionately referred to as a colorful grandma. Always showing up with warm energy and a crafty spirit that everyone loves. She enjoys sewing, drawing, and all things creative, and is often found spending time with friends.
