Over ten years in the making, this project involved extensive and rigorous design strategies executed by a collaborative team of owners, architects, an interior designer, engineers, technical staff, and top cancer experts.

Seventeen Individual Infusion Bays are situated along a corridor interspersed with nurse’s desks and stations offered patient options for a semi-private space. A majority of the bays were placed along the exterior window wall and were designed to capture and maximize natural daylighting, to provide connections to the exterior environment and to medical support on the corridor. Group Infusion spaces allow for larger more community type environments in a space where family and friends can chat with patients. Individual infusion bays are provided for patients desiring more privacy. Special considerations for lighting, sound transmission, the use of color and materials to maximize a more comforting environment, and attention to all finishes, screenings, artwork selections and accessories, such as device hooks, TV and digital connections for patient use were implemented to give the best possible environments to patients undergoing extremely stressful medical procedures.
