Cardiovascular Institute of the South

AQ Studios was commissioned to design the first freestanding cath lab/ASC for Cardiovascular Institute of the South located in Gray, Louisiana. This facility also includes 12 exams/ultrasound clinic in addition to the 2 cath labs, 1 OR, and 16 pre/post recovery bays. The clinic and ASC had their own separate entrances for the two entities. The site selected, directly visible from highway 90, by CIS was intentional to showcase new branding opportunities for this facility. The project was 100% constructed of metal panels and window wall giving it the modern branding image desired by the CIS administration. This modern design also showcases colored LED lighting throughout the entire perimeter exterior of the building highlighting CIS branding colors. This facility design emphasizes patient centered care and experience through the interiors of the facility for a warm and comfortable environment.
