Terrebonne General Health System approached AQ Studios to design a state-of-the-art medical health and wellness fitness facility. This 143,000 square foot free standing facility is the first off campus outpatient facility for Terrebonne General Health System.
The medical office building portion of this project was designed with the physicians in mind. It contains a full physical therapy and rehabilitation center complete with hydrotherapy pool, a primary care medical center with exam room pods designed for better access to individual nurse stations and 5 private physician offices, MRI and imaging center with room for future growth, a sleep lab separated from main areas for privacy and after-hours access control, and a 400+ person conferencing and education center.
The design also features a retail fitness center with member amenities including a 30-person pool sized for competitive swim meets, a spa, steam room and sauna, a cardiovascular and free weight exercise area, an indoor running track, two 28 person group exercise studios, a multipurpose gymnasium, dietary services, and a babysitting and youth exercise area.
The site is also planned to include a community accessible walking track, a training field, and a water retaining pond for stormwater management.
