Robert Alost Hall

Robert Alost Hall is a forward-looking academic facility designed to support interdisciplinary education in healthcare and STEM. At 73,200 square feet, the building replaces the outdated Kyser Hall and serves as the university’s new academic anchor.

The facility includes simulation labs purpose-built for undergraduate and graduate nursing and anesthesia programs, as well as a psychology/social work clinic that functions as both a hands-on training environment and service space. Designed with adaptability in mind, Alost Hall features large, flexible classrooms—many of which can open into a single multi-functional space—alongside rooms equipped for active learning, hybrid instruction, and traditional lecture formats. The building also includes 60 faculty and administrative offices, a café, and a variety of collaboration zones that support both scheduled learning and informal interaction between students and faculty.
